How to prevent reclaim buildup and stuck pieces

Reclaim is sticky, smelly, and a pain to clean. Here's how to keep it from becoming a problem.



🛡️ Prevention tips:

  • Clean your piece weekly before resin gets thick
  • Use drop-downs or reclaim catchers with rigs
  • Avoid overfilling water — it pulls more reclaim into the piece

  • Let pieces cool down before pulling apart to avoid sticking


Stuck bowls and downstems? Don’t force it. Soak the joint in warm alcohol and gently twist — don’t yank.
