Why did my bowl/stem get stuck? How to fix it

😮‍💨 Stuck? Don’t panic. Don’t pull harder.

Here’s how to safely remove a bowl or downstem that’s stuck in your piece.

🚫 First — don’t do this:

• Don’t twist hard while cold
• Don’t try prying it with metal tools

• Don’t heat the glass directly (can cause cracks)

  
  

✅ Instead, try this:

1. Soak the joint in warm isopropyl alcohol to loosen residue
2. Gently wiggle and twist — not pull straight out
3. If it won’t budge, let it soak longer, then try again

4. In a pinch, use non-metal tongs with a cloth for grip
